The French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF), New Yorks premiere destination for the exploration of French language and cultures, presents the first Ipad catalogue of work by the famous French photographer Lucien Clergue. This app accompanies Clergues upcoming exhibition "Clergue in America" on view at the FIAF Gallery from November 10-December 21, 2011. Known worldwide for his images of bullfights, gypsies, and nudes in the sea, as well as portraits of Picasso and Cocteau, "Clergue in America" is a retrospective of the artists work done in the United States since 1961 when Edward Steichen first invited him to exhibit at MOMA. Clergue has enjoyed a prolific career with exhibitions at the worlds most prestigious museums and 80 books published showcasing his personal work.
